Know Thyself

A Course In Miracles is all about rediscovering our Divine Identity. About knowing ourselves as Spirit, as how God created us to be, not a fantasy identity or a dream image. That is, according to Jesus, the goal of the course:

'The goal of the curriculum, regardless of the teacher you choose, is "Know thyself."'
(ACIM T-8.III.5:1)

So it is not about having a worldly existence, and then experiencing more peace and harmony in this "life apart from God." If this is what it looks like for a while, so be it, but we shouldn't be content with this. We should keep moving towards God, keep forgiving all the things which are not real to begin with.

In the course, Jesus reminds us again and again that we are dreaming, and that forgiveness will end the dream. That is the way for me to get to know myself. By forgiving all that is unreal, I will get to know what is real. With the help of the Holy Spirit. Let me forgive, know myself, and be happy!
